I think the budget will be around 110 mil. I think they'll get an outfielder. I'm unsure if it will actually be a quality one.
I'm holding out hope that they will be active in the trade market. They do have some desirable minor league talent that could bring a good return. IMO everyone not named Chase Burns or Rhett Lowder is up for discussion. The others are less likely to be on this MLB roster if/when it reaches it's peak in the next few years.
Collier, Arroyo, Stewart, and Petty might actually get you something (not all of them at once).
It's sad and stupid that this ownership can't scrape together a league average or slightly below payroll. 150 (league avg) would likely put this group at a talent level that would be pretty formidable in the division if not the league. Bob and Phil have never figured out that they'd make more money if they invested in better players. They are half-stepping wannabes that are too content with their poverty franchise welfare. No vision for growth and no desire to take risk. Greed at it's worst. Like taking advantage of people's emotional attachment to a slightly less shitty degree than a TV preacher asking for cash from old people on fixed incomes.
I hate it, but if I had to make a bet, I'd beat heavily on this crop of talent being pissed away like the last. We'll start over with magic beans as always.
