Burrow is having a legit MVP caliber of a season, and this defense is equally but completely opposite of that by having a historically terrible season, possibly worst defense in Bengals history which is saying something. (IMO I think it is the all-time worst Bengals defense).
This is intriguing for him to say that though. Is there silence going on behind the scenes between front office and the team, leaving him feeling like he has to say something? I mean if there has been a concerned effort by THE FAMILY letting everyone know changes are coming, would he have said this? No of course not. I won't look much more into this, but at the same time it's hard to not think of the Palmer situation because this is still the same FAMILY with their model-model of 14 years ago.
It for sure makes you wonder??
We've seen a lot of changes for the good lately. I mean prior to 2020 or so this team was a very minor player in free agency, to say the least. Oh they'd get a semi' big name occasionally but by and large it was washed up used to be, coming off major injury types that were a roll of the dice on the cheap.
We got OBJ, Reader, Bell, Awuzie, Cappa, Karras, Hendrickson etc. Which was a big change from the previous crap. But it sure seems they're slowly slipping right back into the model=model.
Here's to hoping they'll listen to JB and change back.
