Burton would have received help from an SAS office while in college. They likely could have provided executive functioning skills support and, I assume, a football program like Alabama probably has professional staff herding the players from one responsibility to the next. It's a very real part of DI sports.
I did suggest in a thread awhile back that I wouldn't be surprised if Burton had ADHD, was on the spectrum, had a specific learning disability, or comorbidities. I also prefaced I am not qualified to make a diagnosis. I think the only reply served to mock the take. I'm glad to see some reasonable conversation about the topic is happening.
