The MLB needs a hard salary cap (not just a soft cap with a luxury tax component) and a salary floor.
There's no reason why, in 2024, 30 teams can't have approximately the same roster salary construction. It should be about how well you use your money, not who can buy the most free agents to force a WS win.
And the cash deferment stuff is infuriating too.
