There's no reason why, in 2024, 30 teams can't have approximately the same roster salary construction. It should be about how well you use your money, not who can buy the most free agents to force a WS win.

And the cash deferment stuff is infuriating too.

I've longed wish they would emulate the NFL model. We know the deal, the players union would never agree to it. The players love getting paid.
