It seems to me that if we are going to embrace the small market family operation, then the following are bloody no-brainers
A) Robust and excellent scouting
B) Excellent coaching
C) Focus on the fundamental building blocks of a team:
The goddamn lines!!!!

Therein lies the problem. Besides costs, the family operation not only wanting to, but trusting their delegation of responsibilities. I've always been the head chef so it's really hard to watch another chef make my recipes.Happens a lot with top guys wearing multiple hats.
