The issue for Sweat has been his conditioning, work ethic, and off-the-field. When he plays, he is dominant. He's a huge man and strong and can move quite well. Heck, he won the Outland Trophy. I had my eye on him as someone who would be available in the draft to replace Reader.
But in the Texas-Washington playoff game, which Texas lost, he was so out of condition that he was sitting out obvious defensive stands when he was needed. He was too worn out to take the field, even in the short-yardage, obvious run plays. Then he got a DWI right before the draft, which was about as ridiculous as it gets. And Callahan called his conditioning early in the season "a work in progress." It does seem that Callahan has him in pretty good shape and he's done well this season. But he did miss (I believe) the game last week (or was it the week before?) and was limited in practice this week, so I'm not sure we will even see Sweat on Sunday.
