We don't know what actually goes down in communications between the agent and team, no idea. For all we know the Bengals may have been reaching out to Mulugheta, only for their attempts to fall upon deaf ears. On the other hand, maybe the shrewd negotiator that Mulugheta is threw out a "final" offer that was just ridiculously high and the Bengals want to meet in the middle? Like I said, we have no idea as to the communications.
What we do know is that Mulugheta also represented Jesse Bates III, and all we heard was a lot of nothing about negotiations. Seems like Higgins just wants another option that is willing to actually sit down with the team.
The Bengals seem to be the only team that fails to negotiate with him on a consistent basis.
I don't have to know what goes on. The pattern is as plain as day.
