I thought it was some capitalist's wet dream to find a new way to suck the gubmint teat (looking at you Musk et al military contractors) but a wet dream we still could wake up from and spend the money on, I dunno, helping homeless veterans or building neighborhood schools and paying the people who staff them better, or bridges and other infrastructures. Nah, lets build an ultasonic fart blaster so we can stink out aliens who are out of phaser range. Go Space Farce!
It's a real thing. The Russians, Chinese, and United States have been playing chess with satellites for quite a while now. India has recently joined the chess match.
Russia just recently launched one into orbit that is the farther out than all of the rest in orbit. They know why the Russians done it that way. I think they launched it in October. Anyways, now they'll try to figure out a way to counter that move if they haven't already. My guess is that they are way ahead on this one. Those folks are pretty darn intelligent.
