Dude had been in for like 26 years, or something close to that. He knows what's shaking. He only recently retired. I think it was this past spring. He's informed.

800,000 plus "registered" drones in this country. I'm assuming that every Tom ,Dick, and Harry is out there flying their own drones around trying to see if they can figure out what's up. Some of the drones being operated by the amateur owners are probably possibly dangerous to low flying aircraft. Hence, having to shut down air space or probably even more logical is that Wright Pat is in on it and had their reasons.

No offense, but the words you chose to use reveal your mindset. England currently has about 75,000 active military, but sure, the US military is woke, understaffed and underfunded.  Sarcasm

I live right between Eglin AFB and Tyndall AFB. Hurlburt Field and Pensacola NAS are all in my area code as well. You're certainly allowed to have your opinion, but it is a very misinformed one.

The ground and houses shake here on a fairly regular bases from the military continuously testing munitions on Eglin. The MOAB was tested on Eglin. Our military is very active and present here. I can watch F22s, F35s, F15s, F16s, F18s, C130s, Black Hawks, Apache's, and Ospreys on any given day.  You may want to look up the bases that I mentioned. It may give you some idea of the historical importance of all of the ones that I mentioned. The military is very strong here in the southeast part of our country.

This was released from the DoD yesterday: https://www.defense.gov/News/Transcripts/Transcript/Article/4005839/pentagon-press-secretary-maj-gen-pat-ryder-holds-an-off-camera-on-the-record-pr/

Q:  Thank you. Thanks for that long remark. More questions on the drones though. At this point has the US fully determined that they are not military drones, none that have been reported?

PENTAGON PRESS SECRETARY MAJOR GENERAL RYDER:  To my knowledge, there are no military operations that are — these are not military drones.
