They talk about he left 6 points on the game, ignore the 4 to 7 point gain when the Bengals went for it on 4th and ignore that Cade York might have missed the earlier FGs. And they ignore that Zac went for it at the end of the game rather than take it out of Burrow's hands and put on Cade York's feet. On the game-day thread, it was Zero credit, All criticism.
So going for it 3 times and it working the third time means the first two were ok? People will also say that since York missed later, he would not have hit earlier. Could be the kicker couldn't handle the higher stress game winning kick, but could have done a routine FG earlier in the game. And if he was so bad, why send him out for the 33 yarder? Just go for it again on 4th down, right? And people ignore that if York had just hit one of the FGs, all the later game stuff MAY have not even been necessary.
I even said in the GTD I was ok with going for it on occasion, just hated the play calling sequence that led up to and included the 4th down play. Three trips inside the 25 and 3 points is not impressive, at all.
