If improving the pass rush is the goal, Williams could be an upgrade over Hill.

So what? Look at BJ's 2022 season, where he had like 22 pressures. Not every year is a players best year, whose to say that Williams can replicate this season's stats in any other year of his career? BJ Hill is a known commodity, and he produces steadily. Not paying him to continue doing what he does seems silly, considering he's doing a very good job.
