The Reds are always "interested" in people, but ultimately it always turns out to cost too much in money or prospects. Pretty sure that is Krall's job to make sure the Reds look like they're trying so ownership can point to all those rumors.
Barring new ownership with deeper pockets and more interest in winning than employing family and friends, our only hope is the impending lockout in the '26-'27 offseason that will hopefully result in a massively changed financial landscape for the league with payroll caps and equally importantly payroll floors.
