and Bengals would be buying a $20 million plus player in FA with the money saved from Tee plus a draft pick that may pan out. Bengals hit on Chase and Tee and there's a chance they do it with pick received as well. Its not a foregone conclusion the Bengals will mess up the high draft pick Tee will fetch. 

Before everybody goes all Rankins and such, the Bengals made the SB with a bunch of FA signings on Defense. and the D was just as responsible for going to that SB as Joe, Chase, Tee, Boyd, Uzamah, and Mixon combined. They would not have made SB with the D that is featured today, not even close. 

Also think KC is a better model than several teams who like the Bengals have never even won a SB. 

Like who? People just keep saying player x in FA but never mention specific names. Tee IS the top FA available this year. I’m sure we’d all love for them to go out and sign a Trey Smith for example, but anyone who’s even remotely familiar with this team knows they aren’t paying that kind of money to a guard. We would already have Joe Thuney if they did (he supposedly wanted to come here). Part of the problem with this years crop of FA’s is it’s mostly guys on the wrong side of 30. Especially on defense. That’s just not something this team has ever been big on.
