In the last 3 years they got a 2nd Team All-Pro RB in the 5th round, then a 2nd Team All-Pro WR in the 5th round, and used two 3rd round picks on an OLB and DE in 2023 and they proceeded to have 15 and 17 sacks nearly 2 seasons later. They have a rookie 2nd round DE with 8.0 sacks this season. A rookie 3rd round DB with 4 INT.
So yes, you have a much better recovery rate if you absolutely crush the draft (and your division becomes weak). I don't know the odds, but I still wouldn't take them to make it out of the first round of the playoffs.
Even if the Rams were hot garbage to this day, I'd say it's worth it if you get that one championship. We've never seen one, and those of us that assumed there'd be many after 2021 are finding out how hard it is to even get there. Even harder when the organization is inept.
