Man, I love baseball. Nothing better than getting home from work on a Friday, grabbing a beer, and starting my weekend with a Reds game on TV.
All the same, what cannot continue, won't.
Baseball is cannibalizing itself. Dodgers get pick of the litter. Then Mets/Yanks, then a few other also rans, then everyone else. Maybe Houston or Boston or a Chicago team when they aren't crying broke. After everyone else has had a turn, then you get some mid-level pretenders sifting thru the dregs.
When that's done, and the competition for talent has ended, you get the Castellini Reds coming in to sop up the spoiled beer and urine of MLB free agency.
I hope this sport shuts down for two years. These grifters need a real lesson in how treating customers like crap can effect your business.
It's all a huge heartstrings-pulling scam. Nostalgia is the constant, but people with nostalgia for the greatness of this team are fewer every year.....
