Burrow is the one on the field going thru the reads scrambling in the pocket extending plays and usually delivering an accurate pass. Does he get a ton of credit yes is he a bigger part of the offensive success compared to Zac I think the answer is yes. But that doesn't mean Zac doesn't get credit for his route concepts or when they are called. Early season struggles are pointed at the coach when looking back but during it when Burrow is dropping his eyes and checking down too frequently nobody is saying Zac is calling these plays. We may all say we need to lessen his burden earlier in the season or more preseason work when healthy. What I've complained about is the times we've decided to take the ball away from Burrow or the weird play designs we've come up with when we do take it out of his hands. Hard to criticize the wrong person in those areas.
But yet Aikman went on and on why Zac doesn’t take the ball out of Joe’s hands. And understands.why. He said it in the Steelers game. The run game has sucked. Zac May give up on the run game but who could blame him. Don’t you think his and the staff’s scheming of Chase was outstanding this year? Joe had his best year? Yet the OL was still ranked 30th. Yet the offense was 6th. The offense balled out.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
