He really is an All-American level Guard who transitioned seamlessly to LT when the starter and 1st backup both went down for the season. His footwork has continued to improve with every game he plays at LT, I think that he would have little problem pickup up stunts in the NFL and would be hard to beat for the starting LG job.
Maybe if we pass on guard with pick 17, he is there with pick 49.
As I look at the draft rankings, this is the most defensive highly ranked draft I have seen in a long time. the 2 QB's (Ward and Sanders) at the top are hardly can't miss franchise QB's. Melrose is third on many sites but is he a solid #1 pick or will he go round 1 as too many QB needy teams. This may be the weakest QB class in a very long time with a long list of QB needy teams.
The other big offensive positions OT and WR lack those sure fire can't miss options as well. Is Hunter a CB or a WR? After Hunter (if he is a WR), I don't see a Chase, Jefferson option.
It may be an interesting draft. I see teams reaching in round 1, I hope we are not one of them.
2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.
