Yet would think what Hendrickson, Chase, Burrow, and even Tee did in limited time that the coach would have to explain himself as to why the team is outside the playoffs window looking in at the people feasting while they still hunger.
Money Mac is one reason, but most teams have lost a game or two due to missed kicks.
Think Zac has to just fix the slow starts and all will be good. Heck many have said this before it cost the Bengals 2 playoff trips in a row, with stars in their prime even.
This team is much better than the last 2 seasons have shown, time to raise the bar.
Last year they should have made the playoffs if they’d started better. I get the Joe B injury and they did well to get 9 wins. This year really no excuse. Yes they had some bad breaks losing close games. But the bottom line is that they had a good enough team to at least win one playoff game if they’d started better. Missed opportunity.
But the shape of the team is complicated. Not signing Chase before the season or even Tee will tie up a lot of money for the future. Missing on Dax Hill and Myles Murphy is an issue. First picks don’t sit. The OL is going to be fixed with Pollack gone. The recent safeties in FA are misses. I’m worried the roster improvement needed has to be achieved by all bullseyes in FA & the draft. We’ve not come close to being good recently.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
