We need to see more of Grandy before just cutting Sample to save a couple of mil. He was kind of a penalty machine this season.
Like I said repeatedly in the post, which I guess you did not comprehend, I'd take Josh Simmons at #17 in a cut Brown scenario. No way I'd do it before the draft, though. And even after, I would not do it until I was sure I had a player.
I know ZT's predictable playcalling makes it harder on OL guys here, and Brown's numbers this year certainly took a hit when he played through that broken leg......but he still is not playing like an $18 mil dollar OT. In the next year or two, turning over LT is something we should start thinking about.
Simmons would be in the running for OT#1 in this draft if not for the injury. Us having the ability to take the top 1-2 LT in a draft may not happen again in the Burrow/Chase prime.
