Extend him and go for it. You can still sign or draft a decent pass rusher to complement the one you already have. Don’t let an All Pro player at a key position walk out of the door…

I agree. It’s not like we are talking about Hubbard, Pratt or even Mike Hilton (who I think has a good role here). Getting rid of Trey would be the equivalent of the chiefs saying to Chris jones, thanks but your services are no longer needed. It would be nice, for once, to have a bengal great retire a bengal. I know he started out as a saint, but if he plays another 3-4 years here, we could be looking at a HOF career, and go in as a bengals.
