Burrow had his chance to "do whatever it took" and he turned around and signed to be the highest paid player in the league (at the time)....
Restructuring doesn't hurt Burrow at all (it actually financially helps him), and it's a fallacy around here that that is some sort of sacrifice for him to make.
Same with Chase. I'm sure during his negotiations last offseason he knew they wanted to try to keep Tee, and he held off and (and then held in) signing a deal, not because of the numbers mind you, but he wouldn't even help with the structure. A structure that could have helped re-sign Tee.
They both manipulating fans and will and have done what's best for them and only them. Which is only natural.
