Huge Draft Trades... Always Only For QBs..... Why not us, for Abdul Carter?

I do want the Bengals to be more aggressive in the draft though. Duke holds on to draft picks like they’re made out of gold but then proceeds to set half of them on fire with bad picks. I would prefer they have a couple less picks but are more aggressive to get the players they want.

A few years ago, there was a lot of smoke that the Bengals wanted George Karalaftis. Rather than wait for the “board to come to them, be aggressive, trade up and get your guy. Would you rather have Dax Hill + Zach Carter or Karalaftis? That’s what it would have cost to move up a couple of spots.

Even this past year with Kris Jenkins. I’m not saying Kris Jenkins is a bad player, but if the Bengals liked one of the other 2nd round DTs like J. Newton, T’Vondre Sweat, or B. Fiske better, they should try to move up and get them. I would have rather had Newton than K. Jenkins and Burton.

We're fine for run-stuffing DTs for the next 3-5 years, even if we lose BJ: Jenkins and McKinnley were fine and progressed as the year went on (don't forget that Jenkins played with a broken arm for 2/3 of the year), McKinnley may never be Reader level, but he got tremendous push all year and on a per snap basis, did just as well as Sweat, IMO (not stats-wise, performance-wise, per snap).

We need a pass rushing DT in the worst way, not a run stopping DT.
