Grant in the 1st and a stout edge later in the draft. Hell, maybe bring a 3rd Wolverine (Stewart) to the d-line mx. We love us some Wolverines
It's always risky to project how a player will do if they get more toward a full workload based on how their limited snaps were, but...
Jenkins played 496 defensive snaps.
A "full-time" DT will likely play about 800+ snaps, like Hill did back in 2022.
Jenkins had 3 sacks and 11 total pressures in those 496 snaps, according to PFF.
If Jenkins ends up playing more of a full workload, he could have been around 5 sacks, 18 total pressures.
While the sacks may be ok, that'd be quite a low number of pressures.
We need someone at the 3T who can get at least 30+, which is what BJ Hill has done each of the past 3 seasons.
Jenkins might end up being a well-rounded DT, but I can't see him ever being a true interior pass rushing dude like we want/expect.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
