The Bengals are paying Joe Burrow 55 million per year.  This means the Bengals would have 53 million left to pay Chase and Higgins if comparing to what the Eagles are spending for their QB + top 2 WRs.  The Bengals could give Higgins his 25 million per year which would leave Chase 28 million per year.  You think Chase would go for that to keep the gang together?  Justin Jefferson got 35 million per year.  If you give Chase a better contract at 36 million per year that leaves Tee 17 million per year.  The comparison to the Eagles isnt valid because the Bengals would end up spending several million more on the QB + WR1 +WR2

but..the eagles have drafted well and done well in FA and have the necessary good players  to do well..the Bengals have not..we need to spend  the money in many areas and wisely..I would not pay Higgins for one very important consideration..he cant stay healthy..not only does he miss games..if you have not noticed he misses parts of many games  because of his chronic hamstring problems
