IMHO, we had to have a change of direction on defense. Under Lou's system we had four just really bad seasons including the last two. One ok season and one little above average season. Some of that is on the F.O. for sure. But in the same breath Lou's system just wasn't working either. These coaches haven't developed Murphy at all. Stone and the secondary were lost the first 12 games of the year. We had near zero pass rush besides Trey most of the season. And he didn't try and fix it until it was to late.
I believe we also held onto our defensive coaching staff to long.
