2025 Salary Cap
#25
(Yesterday, 03:00 AM)schroomytunes Wrote: I know its beating a dead horse, but this team can really reset their roster by releasing the bigger FA's that absolutely bring nothing to the table anymore.

1. Rankins, Hubbard, Cappa, Volson and Moss are no brainers. @ 33 million

2. Stone, Pratt, I can live with, and I trust Golden has a plan for these guys.

That gives us @ 80 million to fill holes via FA and the draft, not counting any JoeyB restructure. Like others I look to fill holes via known commodities.

Ours: (Big) (Small)

1. Trey, Chase, Gesicki, and Tee.

Backup/Depth

- Ossai (DE), Ford (G/T), Adomitus (LS), Herbert (RB), Bachie (ST) and Wilson(CB). I let everyone else walk and draft for the future.

Free Agents:

1) James Daniels(Pit) and Greg Van Roten(NYG) - Guards, we upgrade the IOL and draft 1 also, Van Roten is depth

2) Levi Onwuzurike (Lions)  and draft 1

3) Derrick Barnett(Hou) DE

4) Jordan Fuller (Car) S and draft 1

- This upgrades both trenches, and frees up the draft for S, LB, WR, DT, OL and RB

As usual, I like a lot of your thoughts Schroomy. I think we would be a contender again if we did these moves and the new coaches turn
out to be upgrades. Releasing those players that bring nothing to the table actually gives us a lot of money to work with which is the good
news about all of this. Sucks that the moves we made last year were so bad, but going into this year we can really make up for them.

Been wanting James Daniels in stripes for a while, if I have a bit of a critique about this it is Van Roten as we need a starter more than
another depth piece. Getting Van Roten means we would still need to draft a Guard early and I want one of the DT's in the first in Walter
Nolen or Kenneth Grant. Daniels and Will Fries would free up the Draft big time.
