I'll use 2010 as a reference point, because that was the year they drafted Geno Atkins, who was a talented DT who could get to the QB regularly. Since then, the Bengals have drafted AJ Green, Tyler Boyd, Marvin Jones Jr., Mo Sanu, Tee Higgins and JaMarr Chase, all very good WRs at their given roles. How many sack artists have the Bengals drafted since then? I'll end the suspense, the answer is Zero.
I'm not trying to be a jackass, but the point is that the Bengals didn't miss out on the playoffs due to offensive shortcomings, it was the lack of defense.
I did say I didn't want to trade him myself. But I guess i just think Tee would have a bigger impact leaving the offense than Trey would leaving the defense. I was more just trying to argue points to why I could agree. You make some good points as well and while I think we draft heavy on the dline it will be an especially young group that would need a veteran leader.
