It's counterintuitive, but I get it.  If the compensation was right, it's not the worst idea.  

They're saying the right things about intent to sign everyone, but it's a tough ask.  I think at least one of the big 4 gets away.  

If he left and they managed to sign one upper-tier DL FA plus got another late first early second for AL to build with, then it's digestible.
