I know Tee is younger but that’s the only edge he has if it’s him or Trey.
Some of you act like one of these draft picks is just going to show up and get you 15 or so sacks a year. Even if a guy did become that level of a pass rusher it ain’t happening in his rookie year. You want to wait and see if he becomes that guy with a win now team like the Bengals?
Trey has put up sack numbers over the past 4-5 years that are only matched by 3 or so ELITE NFL edge rushers. Think Watt/Parsons/Garrett and what Mack used to be. They might all end up being HOFers.
Bottom line is that you are not getting an edge rusher in the draft who is going to give you anywhere near the production that Trey does - this is a much weaker team without him on the roster.
And yes to the main topic - Chase is going to get paid huge $. You have to give him the big dollars and hope as the cap and salaries go up that in a couple of years his contract looks like a steal for the Bengals.
