These are young men with young families and anyone who has been to a game knows the stands can be hostile. Their families put up with a lot The players don't want to have to worry about their wives, children, parents, etc during the game.
Back in the day. not so long ago...the wives had mother hens in Melissa Whitworth and Anna Peko who would take the new wives and mothers under their wings and show them the ropes. There really isn't anyone like that on the team right now. Our most senior player isn't married. Our QB isn't married so it is possible that these women are feeling isolated which their husbands pick up on.
I call that BS if it is true (Not your statement, but on the player's part) There is not a player on this team that can't afford season tickets on the Club level, which has plenty of available seating, is under cover during the rain, and is 10 steps from tables inside if it gets too cold. These guys are evidently expecting their employer to do everything for them. Wait till they are out of the league and in the real world. Why, they might have to buy their own lunch... the horror!
