As of two hours ago, Bleacher Report is predicting that we trade Higgins to the Patriots for draft picks, which I wouldn't mind.
The draft isn't strong at receiver and the Pats desperately need a receiver, so trade Higgins for draft picks, shore up our DL and defensive backfield, draft one of the big tight ends, and sign a free agent receiver as a stop-gap until we can draft a quality one or sign a better one in free agency. Slayton would be a nice option, as would a few other guys, and there's always cuts after the draft and in the offseason.
Hopefully we can pull off the trade with the Patriots.
