So that's two players off the market in free agency for us. Makes it more important to sign both Tee and Trey right now. The Cap going up is hurting us right now more than helping us. 

The bad news is they tagged Smith so he won't hit FA. Good news is KC has some cap issues and this tag locks them into an additional 23.4 million unless they sign him to a long term deal. Smith would highest paid guard in 2025 ahead of Eagles Lance Johnson.

Long way to go to see the increase in cap space has for us and others. I am not sure Dallas and KC would have not tagged them regardless of increase in cap. I also don't think Bengals would have gone after either one of them.
