They already have older vets at guard and that’s what you’re looking at in FA. They need a young guard or two in my opinion. I also think management attributes the guard play to playing through injuries. But I do think they’ll address it.
I think the biggest needs are on defense and I’d love to see DT addressed this year in FA much like the Reader deal. It’s such an important position as evidenced by the defensive performance the last 4 years or so.
I’m not convinced one of the top DTs falls to them but it could.
I’m expecting a FA DT and a 1st round edge player to address the front 7.
I’m expecting another bargain CB with upside.
I’m expecting a bargain FA running back like Perine too.
They probably go guard in the 2nd or 3rd round.
We’ll see. Definitely an important offseason and will be fun to track!
We will see if they cut Cappa soon, if they do, I think we will grab at least 1 Guard in FA, maybe 2. Guard was the most obvious
weakness on the Offense last season without a doubt. On Defense, it was DL and thankfully this is a very deep DL class. Who is
your Edge player in the first round? I think DT is the most likely and it being Kenneth Grant.
Guard in the 2nd round seems more likely than in the first, would love Donavan Jackson, but expect him to go before 49.
Wanting Skattebo the RB out of Arizona State in the mid rounds, think he fits just what we need.
