You can pin the offense on that Loss. You could also argue the bengals lost to the chargers because the offense was so bad the first 30 minutes, but so was the defenses. Both units stepped up in the second half… ultimately burrow had the ball in his hands (I think twice?) at the end of the game and was unsuccessful in pulling out the win.
You can give credit to the defense for the win in week 18, and even against the giants. 19 and 17 points respectively isn’t enough on offense. So the offense got bailed out on the positive side twice, out of 9 wins.
The chiefs game was a tough game, where both sides I believe played well. Can’t pin that loss on anyone, except maybe that horrid PI call. But Mahomes only had time to throw as we dropped 8, and had a player on the field that had no business. But the chiefs loss you can’t really pin on side of the ball, Lou if anyone for the PI play.
But, when you score 33 (Washington), 38 (Baltimore), 34 (Baltimore), and
38 (Steelers), you need to come away 4-0… not 0-4.
If the bengals win patriots or chargers, playoffs.
If the bengals win any of the 4 games they lost scoring 33 points or more… playoffs.
11 instances where a team scored 33 or more and lost in 2024. Only two teams had it happen more than once. Bengals 4x, colts 2x.
