What if another team tells Trey we'll pay you more than the Bengals are paying you and extend you to boot? That team makes the Bengals a trade deal that the Bengals turn down. The Bengals tell Trey, sorry, we're keeping you and we are NOT going to match that offer the other team made to you. Not good. Let's hope that Trey doesn't get any insane offers or the Bengals get a good trade offer. This is a good way for the team to gauge the market for Trey but it could also blow up in their faces. I hope it works out for the team and Trey. Maybe the team can just rework Trey's remaining year here with a fair and decent pay raise but even that would probably not be doable for Trey and his agent seeing that Trey would hit the market another year older next year.
