If Bengals offered Tee 30 to 32 million with only 50% guaranteed it is a fair offer. Tee has a history of injury problems yearly so makes sense the guaranteed portion will be a lit less than Chase for example. That does not make them cheap, it makes the good business people.
Browns guaranteed Watson contract coming off not playing and major sexual assault allegations. They were not cheap, but sure were stupid.
I also think the Bengals are great business people gets old. If they were great business people they would be turning the 100s of millions of dollars each year into a vast mountain of cash and we wouldn't have to hear about them being cash poor.
The Browns were very stupid and risked way too much cash and picks for a player with way too many red flags. But they still may never really feel a true impact as they may draft a rookie QB who turns out to be good and Watsons huge cap hits will land on a rookie QBs deal.
