Trey has some big cards. He can do a hold-in like Chase did all preseason last year and have the team wondering if he will even play when the regular season rolls around. He can hold out for a number of games until he has to play to get credit for a season so he can be a free-agent next year.
Furthermore, if Trey finds a terrific, mega-bucks deal for himself but so-so as a Bengals trade partner, the Bengals FO will tick off all the other players if they don't make the trade and instead force Trey to play for half of what he could have gotten if they made the trade.
