With Chase it is possible he knew the market was going up and waited. Then again that is probably giving the Bengals FO too much credit, especially given their history. 

Regardless, they know what they need to pay him now and I'd hope Chase wouldn't risk playing another year where he might get a career ending injury or something. Time for everyone to come together and win together.
