Last offseason the Bengals (assuming they didn't try to get all Bengals with the guaranteed money) could have signed long term extensions for all three with Chase for $36m/yr, Tee for $23m/yr, and Hendrickson for $25m/yr and not had the bad vibes of 3/4ths of your most talented players being upset.
Now it's looking like those numbers this offseason would be something like $42m/yr, $30m/yr, and $32m/yr, respectively, and those bad vibes continue to grow.
I used to say the Bengals reminded me of a draw poker player. You know the one who antes up and gets his cards and immediately folds unless he’s got two pair or 3 of a kind. He never comes close to being the big winner at poker night but is never the big loser. But I may need to adjust it. Duke Tobin is not calling the shots on contracts. It’s got to be frustrating for Zac & Duke.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
