BREAKING: Bengals give Trey Hendrickson permission to be traded
(03-11-2025, 08:41 PM)Nepa Wrote: The comment on twitter was:

"BREAKING: The Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to trade star Trey Hendrickson to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for a 2025 3rd round pick. The reigning sack leader heads to Green Bay where he’s expecting to sign a long term deal. (per@AdamSchefter"

But, it appears to be some random, made-up, fake-news post. As one person pointed out, Adam Schefter apparently has no such information on his feed. ... And it was posted 8 hours ago

It seems to me Trey and his agent overvalued his worth across the league.  The Bengals now might not have the money to pay him their original offer since they expected to lose him and used 7 million of their cap to bring Ossai back.  If Hendrickson had signed the Bengals offer do they spend the 7 million on Ossai instead of looking at a deep draft?  Trey's agent might have screwed Trey over on this one.  Trey may have to lower his price for everyone including the Bengals offer unless he wants to play for 16-18 million this season and try again next year.

I hope we keep Trey. Amother broadcaster acted like if we got a 2nd or 3rd for Trey, we should take it.

Is our FO's job to help others win or us win?

More important than the comment itself, is who wrote it.

I'll give you a hint: it wasn't Schefter.
