Looking doesn't really matter if they don't actually add talent to improve the team though.

That's like saying, "We're trying!" when it comes to these big contracts with Higgins, Chase, and Hendrickson. People won't really care if they "tried" if something doesn't get done because the thought is they should have offered a deal that they couldn't say no to.
