Cannot just say, he was on the Bears and their OL sucked. Another reason to sign him is he is still young as you note.
Jenkins is a top 20 guard when healthy. PFF has him 18th of 135 and top 20 in both pass pro and run block.
Volson? 78th out of 135. 52nd run block, 96th pass block.
Ford, who played mostly at OT last year, graded out at 112/141 at OT. 121st at run block and 110th in pass block.
Jenkins is a large upgrade to either. So is Scherff.
