I am guessing he feels he is top guard in FA left and is holding out for the money. One of the keys for the team signing him may be guaranteed money. It is extremely risky to pay an often injured player top money and guarantee a lot of it.

It is kind of strange Becton, Jenkins, Hernandez and others are not signed yet. Maybe they are. not the slam dunk teams are looking for either. Maybe, their agents are attemting to get too. much.
Giants are desperate for a guard. They went all out for Fries and lost out to the Vikings. They have their sights, I have read, on Jenkins or Becton. Others also looking for a guard, like Patriots. I'm not confident the Bengals will win a competition for whichever free agent they have eyes on for the position.
