1) Early last season our DL was hit hard by the injury bug, Rankins, Hill, Jackson and Jenkins
2) Dax and Turner go down, season ending injuries
3) Wilson goes on IR
4) A lot of Rookies were getting a lot playing time, they showed they were rookies, but played well down the stretch
5) Slaton is being way underrated on here. Led the league for DTs for run stopping percentage
6) We will add some very good talent in the draft.
I believe this D will end up better than last year
All good points. Particularly with our vets going down after playing well and the rookies getting so much experience.
This bodes well for the new coaches if they are decent. I also believe this D will end up being better than last year. Kris Jenkins, McKinnley
should really grow in their second season, same with Fig Newton. I like what I saw from Dax at boundary Corner last season before gettingÂ
injured and he actually is even more comfortable at his natural position in the Slot with Hilton leaving. DJ Turner played well late last season
before going down as well. Hope the coaches can get CTB back to playing how he was, he is really athletic and plays physical.
CTB is actually a dark horse to play FS next to Battle if we don't draft a Safety IMO. Stone should be gone or at least depth at most.
