Right, I am not saying Trey and his agent (even more so) are blameless in all of this. But the price tags for DE are ultra high and he is the best player on this defense at an impact position, asking for a raise under those circumstances is at least somewhat understandable.

I get that people want him to play out his contract and that’s also understandable, but the reality is that a deal that keeps him here for a bit longer than using the tag is probably more advantageous for all parties.
