I get that people want him to play out his contract and that’s also understandable, but the reality is that a deal that keeps him here for a bit longer than using the tag is probably more advantageous for all parties.
He's vastly outplaying his contract.
That said, when the Bengals signed him...there was some risk. He was coming off of 1 good season in NO in a contract year. It's pretty out there that he doesn't play the run well, especially then. I think he's improved.
