Dalton Risner: "Would LOVE to be a Bengal"

If we were to sign a FA guard (2 would be amazing), or we're certain that we can get a guard in two, then I'd for sure go Nolen because he'll make our ends lives easier by calling for double teams and forcing the quarterback out of the pocket, and our DBs' lives easier by pressuring the quarterback.

I just think we need to make sure Burrow is protected before we do anything else.

Understandable except we shouldn't reach just for need. Trade back and pick up a Guard and a pick if that is the plan.

Bring in Risner or Scherff regardless IMO. Also feel Nolen would help our DL as we need pass rushers badly, but he probably wouldn't
play as much as Emmanwori immediately. I think Emmanwori would automatically start and make an immediate impact, which is what
you want in a 1st round pick. Lots of decent Guards to be had after the first round.

SAF only has Stone under contract through this year and Battle through next.
DE has Hendrickson, Ossai, and Sample just this year, Murphy through next (unless they pick up option, which is unlikely).
OG has Volson and Patrick signed just through this year, Ford through next. This position arguably has the worst potential starters out of every position on the team.

On the flip side, Bengals have 4 DTs signed through at least 2026 - Hill (2027), Slaton (2026), Jenkins (2027), Jackson (2027). Hill and Slaton will be the starters.

All of these positions aside from Hendrickson at DE really underperformed last year, but I think they'll wait on DT because they'll feel they have their starters set and two young Day 2 picks grooming as rotational pieces.

Good points Ochocincos. This is why I think Emmanwori is the most likely pick at 17, or Starks. Safety is thin and we would be reaching on a Guard.

We have 4 DT's locked up, maybe End is a thought with what you are saying here, Mike Green or James Pearce but both these guys have character
concerns and are undersized. Shemar Stewart would be a huge gamble with his lack of production.
