StripeHype thinks says an NFL insider (Tony Pauline) thinks that we'll trade Hendrickson if we can get a pass rusher in the first:
That makes it sound like we're not focused on trading up to take an edge rusher but could still get picks for him.
If there's a run on edge rushers in the first, then maybe we could take one at 17 and then trade Hendrickson to one of the teams looking for an edge rusher to get back into the back half of the first and take a guard or Nolen.
I'm praying we do that because I think we're setting ourselves up for failure if we give Trey a lot of money and a big extension, unless it's only two years, but even then I feel like the money could be better spent elsewhere.
That would be so stupid to trade Trey AFTER the draft, even if they managed to get 2 promising pass rushers in the first 2 rounds. And while the Bengals front office has been known to make some stupid moves, I'd be hard pressed to think they'd be THAT stupid to trade Trey after the draft.
Only way a Trey trade after the draft makes sense is if it's for a player-for-player trade for someone comparable of Trey's value, even if at a different position.
The way I see it, Trey will play this season for the Bengals. Only question is if it's on the last year of his contract or if it's after an extension has been agreed upon.
