Like essentially Bengals go up to 8 from 17 and get pick 74?
I don't understand why the Bengals would want to jump up 9 spots to get a LB that many expect to be available in the teens, possibly making it to 17 anyway.
And while I do think if Golden is creative, Walker could be used as an off-ball LB but also pass rusher, I wouldn't want to lose Hendrickson to trade up 9 spots and only get 74th overall.
Now if it was both their 2nd rounder they got from the Rams (57th overall) and 74th overall, maybe.
I think a more logical trade that the Bengals would be willing to do is trade away Hendrickson to one of the playoff teams for their late 1st rounder who were probably going to take a pass rusher anyway but need someone who could contribute immediately. Maybe the Commanders or Eagles.
That way, Bengals can still take an edge rusher in Rd 1 either at 17 or the late round acquired pick, but also get either an OL, SAF, or DT with the other 1st rounder.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
